Microeconomic theory, industrial organization, international trade and environmental economics
Jensen’s current research interests include innovative pioneering and innovation diffusion, the trade-off between basic and applied research, the Bayh-Dole Act and behavior of university technology transfer officers, transboundary polltion and trade, deforestation, and debt-for-nature swaps. Funded by the National Science Foundation and National Bureau of Economic Research, Jensen’s research has been published in the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Ecological Economics, Review of Economic Studies, International Journal of Industrial Organization, International Economic Review, Management Science, and Journal of Economic History. He also is an associate editor and fellow of the International Journal of Industrial Organization.
