Carozza is the director of the Notre Dame Law School’s Center for Civil and Human Rights and chair of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, which is responsible for the promotion and protection of human rights in the Western hemisphere. He also is active in the Center for Civil and Human Rights and serves as director of its doctor of jurisprudence program in international human rights law. A faculty fellow in Notre Dame’s Kellogg Institute for International Studies, Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, and Nanovic Institute for European Studies, Carozza has served as a Fulbright lecturer at the University of Milan and taught at several other universities in Europe and Latin America.
