Antitrust and labor issues involving baseball
As an expert, Edmonds resides at the intersection of athletics and the law. His primary scholarly interests concern antitrust and labor issues involving baseball and his writings have examined a wide array of topics such as Congress and sports agents and the legislative history of boxing. A regular speaker at the annual Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture, Edmonds also frequently addresses the annual Spring Training Conference on the Historical and Sociological Impact of Baseball sponsored by Nine: A Journal of Baseball History and Culture. He is director of the Law School’s Kresge Law Library and he has taught in the areas of legal research, sports, antitrust, criminal and entertainment law.
