An expert on health information technology, Angst conducts research on the transformational effect of IT, technology usage and IT value, particularly in the healthcare industry. He is a proponent of electronic health record keeping and the establishment of national digitization of health record information. Formerly former associate director of the Center for Health Information and Decision Systems at the University of Maryland, Angst has studied employee health surveys in both corporate and academic settings.
